Time Flies when you're having fun!

It’s hard to believe another 6 weeks have past! We had another amazing Zone Conference in Belgrade

These are the amazing missionaries serving in Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and I love every one of them! We just had a powerful zone conference centered on the theme of “Miracles.” Miracles are happening all throughout this mission, and we’re so grateful to witness and be part of them. Each zone conference A great boost to get you inspired but this one.were especially uplifting and filled with the Spirit.

How much do I love that we always include a fun picture at Zone Conferance??!  It’s my favorite!❤️

I love these group photos! The one with all the sisters and of course the classic selfie from the elders. If Elder McConkey ever gets transferred out of our zone, I honestly don’t know how the mission will manage a selfie without our 7-foot-tall missionary!

Breakout session with our Bosnia & Montenegro District. Love these missionaries.

I just have to brag for a second. I really think we have one of the best Mission Presidents. President Cordray and his wife are so amazing! So many miracles are happening here, and a big part of that is because of them. They show so much love to every single missionary and always go out of their way to inspire and lift us all up. I could’ve taken so many more pictures like this. They both give one-on-one attention to every missionary and share so many loving hugs.

Sister Cordray and their youngest son, Duncan. In just one week, he’s heading out to serve a mission in Japan.

Meet the talented Zone Conference cooks, the Lanes, who were serving as the mission cooks. I say “were” because they just went home a few days ago. For their going-away feast, they made this incredible 12-foot-long charcuterie board filled with the most amazing food  and it even had two chocolate fountains!

This picture doesn’t even do it justice! After that amazing breakfast, this is what we got for lunch. Seriously, the food here is a problem.

Oh, and did I mention I’m going to be taking over as the cook? No pressure at all! How can I even compare to what they did?? I was told they never cooked the same thing twice in 18 months!

At the hotel where we stay when we go to Belgrade for his own conference, it includes this amazing breakfast every day. Like I said, the food is becoming a problem.. It’s all too good.

On our way to zone conference, we made a stop at the Srebrenica Memorial. It honors the memory of over 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys who were killed by Bosnian Serb forces in 1995. It’s considered the worst massacre in Europe since World War II and has been recognized as genocide by international courts. A sobering and powerful reminder of a heartbreaking part of history
On Thursday, we had some training with the missionaries and made plans to start helping out at a soup kitchen here in Sarajevo. This kitchen has been serving the community since the war in 1992, and it’s still going strong. We’re hoping our humanitarian aid efforts can help provide them with some much-needed new equipment.
love this yarn store in old town Sarajevo. I am to try to start crocheting again. Wish me luck.

Lunch with the missionaries. If you are ever in Sarajevo you need to eat some Ćevapi! So good!

Ćevapi is a grilled meat sausage served with soft, pita-like bread called somun, chopped raw onions, and sometimes a creamy topping like Kajmak, a rich blend of sour cream and cheese.

It’s always such a treat to have visitors while we’re serving our mission! This sweet couple is here with a BYU study abroad group but fun fact: Erik Peterson actually served with us on our first mission.

Thanks to this large group and a few other visitors we broke a record of 70 people at church on Sunday!!
It almost felt like a real ward

We had our last Sunday dinner with the Casbeer family, and we’re really going to miss them. They’re moving to Africa in just a few weeks, and we wish them all the best in this new adventure!
